Nick Abell is a former lawyer and has diverse career experience spanning multiple sectors. Nick has been a dedicated community leader and business professional with a strong commitment to the cultural, sporting and economic development of Stratford-upon-Avon in particular. As a Trustee of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, he plays a role in preserving and promoting the legacy of William Shakespeare, whilst his involvement in the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) demonstrated his passion for fostering local economic growth and job creation.
Nick’s experience both professionally and of serving on various boards has made him a valuable asset to our own board. The son of a wine merchant and married to a dairy farmer’s daughter, Nick has natural links into both agriculture and viticulture. Whilst a practising solicitor, he handled numerous property transactions on behalf of Elizabeth Creak and subsequently was invited to be a Trustee of the charity.
