When the Elizabeth Creak Charitable Trust saw the opportunity to create a central body to coordinate centres for researchers, and to create a central discussion group and lobby group to facilitate farmer-led research. The Trust supports specialists in agricultural innovation and adoption from five of England’s top agricultural universities to come together to create a virtual centre of expertise.
The CEIA provide support to funders, policymakers, researchers and industry on impactful R&D project and programme development; collates evidence on effective R&D models, and evaluate the success of farm innovation driven by public and private investment; builds a network of funders and researchers who are passionate about the impact and uptake of innovation and identifies best practice in R&D and demonstrating academic leadership in innovation impact through research collaborations.
The Elizabeth Creak chairs at each partner university have come together as academic directors of the Centre, creating a group of experts who are world-leading in the area of technology development, adoption and evaluation.
