The Clyde Higgs Scholars Workshop 2024 was a great success as we welcomed over 60 delegates to the conference at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth.
The two day workshop, fully funded by the Trust focused on collaboration and strengthening relationships between scholars and encouraging debate and discussion. Henry Dimbleby MBE delivered an engaging talk on Friday evening over dinner, followed by Amy from Nuffield.
Professor Tom McMillan led Saturday’s conference with a fun and challenging ice-breaker which allowed us all to get to know just a little about each others roles in the industry. Guest speakers from TIAH, Innovation for Agriculture and AHDB all talked about continuous professional development and learning opportunities.
We were delighted to be joined by guest speaker Kaleb Cooper who shared his journey from his first venture of selling eggs to his ambitions for the future.
The day was wrapped up by Helen Wyman and Sarah Evans of Cultivate Success with mini mentoring sessions taking place between attendees.
